Japanese Robot Teaches Kids…

Still obsessed with Japanese robots. I know I am. I wish I could buy them like those handy Japanese panty vending machines. Um and continuing on … Researchers collaborating from the Nippon Institute of Technology, Harada Vehicle Design, ZMP  and ZNUG Design have just taken the wraps off another addition to the crew. The newest version of the e-NUVO walk bot stands about 4 feet tall, making it roughly the size of an elementary school aged child, and will be incorporated into classes to teach children about humanoid robots in a hands-on environment.

Ah leave it up to the Japanese to have a robots that’s hands on with kids. Here in America that robot would get 15 for 5…

Adrianne Curry is HOT as a slave!

So I’ll keep my words brief. I must have been dead these last 2 weeks to let these little gems slip through my image banks. Its Adrianne Curry at Wizard World Convention. I would tell you who she is dressed like, but if I have to – well as James would say I’d have to stab a person in their neck.  Enjoy.

FireHack Screen Tilt

So Firefox, has been pretty busy with it own hacks with version 3.6/3.7. One of the newest hacks is a tilt hack API code for the web browser. If the machine has machine orientation information available, it will utilize it. What does this mean. It means if you tilt your laptop, and the machine has the capability, the website on the screen will tilt as well. This is normally reserved to laptop just because of there portability, and capability to be picked up, but a modded PC would be able to do this as well.

Using the API is very simple. All you have to do is add a simple event listener:

window.addEventListener(”MozOrientation”, function(e) {
/* 3 values: e.x, e.y, e.z */
}, true);

This was originally built to be used on mobile phones, but they ported the code to laptops, and it worked there too.
They have added support for Macs, and PC, also Linux run systems as well, so no one is in the dark with this little gem.

Italians Will Put A Spider in Your…

So the Italians have come up with an ingenious design. A Spider robot that crawls around your butt. What? Your probably asking yourself  whether they should be allowed to have any sort of modern technology if this is how there going to waste it. Hold on though, this is a good thing. The Spider isn’t actually a Spider, its a tiny robot that the patient swallows, that can be remote controlled by the doctors one it its the lower intestines. The robot does have a camera, so the doctors don’t  have to guess when it gets there.

This little robot, does have legs that enable it to move back and forth which gives it the advantage of not being endoscopes for colonoscopy procedures , which some people refuse treatment because they find that to be a bit invasive. This way the spider can do the work from inside, and the patient will have no connection, well with the outside.

The spider pill has not been tested on humans yet, however the trials on pigs are going well. There is no release date on this, probably in about a year the scientists say, but I’m sure if you see a line of old men out side of a doctors clinic, they’ve either got the spider pill, or the doctor hired topless dancers, to work inside the clinic as topless dancers.

Also before I let you go, your probably wondering what happens after there done with the looking and crawling, and the what not. Well the spider pill makes the grandest of exits, “naturally”  of course.

Left For Dead 2 Banned by Aussies

Well it seems that Left 4 Dead 2’s is not kosher for the Aussies. The content exceeds the allowable rating of MA15+. Any game the goes above this is basically considered banned.

From the offical Austrian report  “The game contains realistic, frenetic, and unrelenting violence which is inflicted upon “the Infected” who are living humans infected with a rabies-like virus that causes them to act violently. The player can choose from a variety of weapons including pistols, shotguns, machine guns, and sniper rifles. However, it is the use of the “melee” weapons such as the crowbar, axe, chainsaw and Samurai sword which inflict the most damage. These close-in attacks cause copious amounts of blood spray and splatter, decapitations and limb dismemberment as well as locational damage where contact is made to the enemy which may reveal skeletal bits and gore.” So this basically means Austrialia won’t allow it citizens to play it. This is coming from the country that has insane gun control laws so not surprising.

Time Magazine Ahead of the Pack…

So September 18th will make a new milestone in technology. Pepsi Co. will be releasing its first video ad insert into a print publication. It will be an insert in the magazine that will contain a print ad with a screen to show the commercial for Pepsi Max. CBS is backing Pepsi with this new technology in hopes of gaining more readers, and hopefully

more revune for Pepsi Co with the introduction of the Max brand which is geared towards men.
The ad will be powered by the Americhip, who have been developing this microchip for about 2 years and is excited for the release. The screen for the ad will be 2.7 millimeters thin, and have a screen resolution of 320×240. The internal battery will have a viewing time of 65 to 70 minuites, before the recharge. The screen will be a TFT LCD which translates to transistor liquid crystal display which translates to little thin tv. It will also be re-enforced by a protective polycarbonate.
Unfortunately this insert will only be included to subscribers who live in New York, and Los Angeles. However I would expect to see these incerts clutering your magazines in the near future. I’m waiting for the AVN ad  to come out.

Dick Tracy Is Here, Well In France…

So its official, the telecommunications company Orange is rolling out the new LG GD910 by

the end of the year. What makes this item so hot? Its a wearable telephone/watch/video phone. The watch sports a splash proof 1.43 inch screen (its a watch) and is 14mm thick. The screen is a tempered-glass capacitive touch screen, with front facing video for making video calls. The watch will also have bluetooth and a high speed HSDPA connection. The video calls scare me. Imagine getting a video call from your friend and the video is the side of the coach and the coach looks likes its going up and down. Extremely disturbing. Unless your into that.

The watch will be release in France in August, and an unknown release date for the UK. The watch however comes with a hefty price tag. Its £1,000 ($1,676), listed as of now, but the prices are always changing, hopefully it’ll drop for the French. Then by the time it hits the US it’ll be $200 or like most of the other phones, 2 year contract plus your soul.
