Philip K. Dick Exegesis Expected Next Year

Finally after years, and years of waiting Philip K. Dicks “Exegesis” is scheduled to be released in 2011. PKD is best known for his novels and “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”, “The Man in the High Castle” and “The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch”. These are his most popular works, despite the fact r the work actually regarding the Exegesis exclusively is Valis. Which for years has been an over looked PKD novel, which I’m sure will gain popularity among the masses that haven’t read any PKD yet.

Mr. Lethem, the author of novels like “Chronic City” and “The Fortress of Solitude,” and who has written frequently on Mr. Dick, said hesitated to describe ”Exegesis” as a work. He described the books as a chronicle of the period in which Mr. Dick “pulled himself together again, as a writer and a human being.” “He’d been launched into outer space by the visions of the early 70s,” Mr. Lethem said, “and he was going to try to come back with the truth – and that, by definition is an impossible task.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, got the rights to 39 published works, and are re-releasing those next year as well, so I guess we’ll have a bunch more books with stupid covers, like the last round of PKD books. I collect first edition PKD so I’m to worried about it.

PDK had a series of experiences in which he believed he had information transmitted to his mind by a pink beam of light and if you don’t know that its possibly one of the longest works ever written by a human, Google it. They are a The Scandinavia Android TV company developing the first android based television set. The television set will come with YouTube, Google Maps ,Weather, Time, Calendar, Internet Browser. The television is being developed in both a prototype then 42-inch, 47-inch and 55-inch to be sold to the public after its release. This will be the first Internet based television released onto the market. Of course there’s a Korean company already developing one, so we’ll see who beats whom.

Roger L .Easton Genius in Satellite telemetry and timing has finally been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Easton helped develop the MINITRACK the worlds first satellite tacking system, which then turned in to TIMATION. The TIMATION (time navagation) was used to launch 4 experimental satellite tracking system in the 1960′s and 1970′s. The last satellite launched during TIMATION was the first satellite to transmit GPS signals back to us. The technology Easton implemented in his GPS satellites, are still used today. It also helped verify Einsteins theory of relativity. Eaton did eventually retired from the official lab, but he did find time to run for Governor in 1986

Amazon Wants to Watch Your Order

Amazon is looking to start filming the preparation and packaging of the products you buy. They want to make sure your order put together perfectly. The video, or frames from the vidoe will be e-mailed to you so you can see the progress. The strange thing about this is Amazon filed a patent yesterday for this type of service. No one really knows the reason for the patent, as it is a good idea, and will be copied like Episode I. “Insiders” speculate that its going to hard for Amazon to stop others from copying this idea, as a way for people make sure there getting what they ordered. My own take on this is that Amazons advertisers want to make sure every flyer of crap you would never want gets into that box, so you have more stuff to fill the land fill.

Google Says F’ Apple! Flash is Back

What about Adobe? That’s what people who like flash videos, and games are screaming at Apple. Apple is openly non-supportive of any Flash types online, and feel that’s its a “dying” technology as Steve Jobs stated earlier this year. Company’s have been scrambling to conform to Apples strict standards and not using this dying technology. Videos are being re-formatted, advertisements are re-coded, and everyone’s waiting to see the iPad (that’s what all this craziness is for). The HTML5 community has been trying to get a piece of the action and I think we’ll be seeing more via Apple. However a little bug has pop its head up and yelled HEY!. That bug is called Google.

Google’s Chrome OS with not only support flash its built in. There is no need to update as its an intricate part of the platform. Google believes that Flash is a living technology and will continue to grow, and see’s no reason to kill it now. I wonder if that’s why Job and Schmidt had lunch to compare note on how there going to not have a monopoly and still dominate the industry (secretly). Steve Ballmer would have showed up but he was busy running around the block yelling about Microsoft. We’ll see how this plays out. It’s going to become a friendly version of Google vs Apple.

PS3 Update 3.21 Puts the Knife in and Twists…

Sony Playstation 3 will discontinue its functionality of allowing the use of open source operating systems on the older PS3 model (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/03/28/ps3-firmware-v3-21-update/). This feature was removed from the PS3 slim version, but has remained on the older PS3 and apparently has never served as a security problem until now.

So what? Who needs the other operating systems? Well you do! What if you got a bug up your ass to install Yellow Dog, or Fedora and wanted to expand your computer/gaming experience. Why does Sony gives us the option to use their platform for things other than gaming and watching blu-rays, then just strong arms us into taking it away.

If you choose not to update, it comes an unreasonable price. You LOSE the :
•    Ability to sign in to PlayStation Network and use network features that require signing in to PlayStation Network, such as online features of PS3 games and chat
•    Playback of PS3 software titles or Blu-ray Disc videos that require PS3 system software version 3.21 or later
•    Playback of copyright-protected videos that are stored on a media server (when DTCP-IP is enabled under Settings)
•    Use of new features and improvements that are available on PS3 system software 3.21 or later

Yeah I’m not sure about you, but for me not to be able to watch Blu-Ray discs, or go online and chat is a little suspicious. Why has Sony stuck the knife in and twisted it? Well it may be that in January all the leaks about a PS3 hack. I hope that hack comes out soon in its entirety and I hope they hack the PS3 fucking hard. I can get a Blu-Ray player for $99. The fun I could have screwing Sony for is priceless. They still owe me for blocking my PSP for going online due to its modification. Hey Sony we’re gunnin’ for you next…

So AT&T has released a boost for your mobile service. Why you might ask? Shouldn’t ATT be giving you better service for what you pay? The logical answer is yes, however ATT’s answer is well, NO. Why would they give a better service to their paying customers. The ATT answer= we can charge them. Ladies and germs, may I present the AT&T MicroCell. The MicroCell is a little cell tower for your home or office. It amplifies the the cellular signal inside of you office, or home, or shack. ATT is charging $150.00 for this service enhancement and no monthly fees.

The ATT femotcell (mini cell tower) connects to your broadband connection, and amplifies the cellular signal. The MicroCell can handle up to ten phone hooked up to it, and 4 can be synced in to use it as once. Just came out, so the jury is out while we wait to hear the reliability. However if I lived in NY of SF I would have be sleeping out side ATT for a week to pick this MicroCell up. Or just pay a hooker to sleep in the line, and hold my spot.

I wish I was a plastic seat

The Segway is obviously for geriatric out patients and pussies. The Taurus is made for daily transit, but lets face it is just fucking awesome. The space efficient design built for zero emissions electric motors will not only help you pull in girls, (hope she brought he own, or willing to follow you), but help with crowding parking space problems in large cities, and even the environment.

With all the people with the huge hummers taking up 3 spots, this will be as sweet treat. Have you ever had to parell park a car between a Klondike and a Hummer, not so much fun. This little bad boy could park in alleys, or even on your front porch. I recommend inside if your the paranoid type. You never know when Hulk Hogan is going to come and collect that steroid money you ripped him off from in the 80′s, and disco, your bikes collateral.

You control the Taurus the same way as a Segway. Lean forward or back duh.. If you have an issue with leaning this might not be the product for you aka Drunk ass.

Still obsessed with Japanese robots. I know I am. I wish I could buy them like those handy Japanese panty vending machines. Um and continuing on … Researchers collaborating from the Nippon Institute of Technology, Harada Vehicle Design, ZMP and ZNUG Design have just taken the wraps off another addition to the crew. The newest version of the e-NUVO walk bot stands about 4 feet tall, making it roughly the size of an elementary school aged child, and will be incorporated into classes to teach children about humanoid robots in a hands-on environment.

Ah leave it up to the Japanese to have a robots that’s hands on with kids. Here in America that robot would get 15 for 5…
