Apple Says Jesus is not OK…

Apple says “God” is no good for the iPhone.   The developer, Benjamin Kahle got the axe from Apple recently and went on record speaking against the censorship Apple has recently employed. First Trent Reznor, now God? Apple must not like competition.

Why's Apple gotta Hate on God?

Why's Apple gotta Hate on God?

The application is called Me So Holy. You can take a picture or use on from your photo library and place your face over Jesus’. It involves different pictures for a lot of relgions Kahle says, its not just christianity. Will Apple lighten up a little bit, and let this app in its store. Only time will tell. They could use with about 100 less Bible applications just for the record too.

This is just a news story with a tad bit of commentary. Don’t send hate mail. Everyone believes what they want. Thats fine. I just don’t want to hear about it.

The iPhone May Have Swine Flu…

Dr. Jelly Finger is back!

Dr. Jelly Finger is back!

Developers at IntuApps are developing a tracking program for the Swine Flu spread. They will be using the the some of the systems people already use for tracking the spread of the disease. Apple is still reviewing the program, or not based on a previous post. (read everything), but hopefully we’ll get access to this in another week or so. The program will have five tabs. The first tab will have current threat levels from the WHO, second tab will be the google map tracker and so on. Im not writing a review of it here. The creators say that people are concerned about the spread and they are doing there part by  releasing a FREE yes, free app. “Oh Lord Im coming for ya, this is the big one”. So expect to see thie Swine Flu app, and the Swine flu coming to a neighborhood to you.

I know I’ll be using this app to track how many of my skeezy neighbors have it. I can use it against them in the future. Except now I wont want my lawnmower, or blender back. This is getting a little out of control. I mean come on, a tracker for the disease thats not a pandemic? How many people have AIDs??? Yet no trackers for that. They  go spreading it unknowingly and people have no chance to stop that. SO yes the swine flu is app is a good thing. However I feel that they should be putting time to develop applications that are more useful. Also if I see one more fart application I’m going to take a fire arm to a developers poop shoot and we’ll see how funny farting noises are.  I swear some of these developers must be like 6.

The OG Swine Flu.

Apple has resorted to…

Shaken babies? For what? More money?

Who let this baby drink?

Who let this baby drink?

In a not so shocking find Wednesday Apple pulled the Baby Shaker application. The company offered an apology for the deeply offensive and said “mistake” to having it available for download. I e-mailed Steve Jobs and asked him how he missed this application, for which I have not received any comments back from.

Perhaps the strong language or threat of calling CPS on his “baby” (Apple) kept him from replying. This of course is is coming from the same company that has South Park episodes available for download.

Perhaps Apple has bitten off more than it can chew. They stated last year they would review every application that was submitted for content. This however does not seem to be the case. Perhaps they should outsource to a third world country. Like they do with everything else. Also like everyone else.

I think the Baby Shaker as disturbing as it was,  is a necessary evil. It sets up a nice example of how freedom of speech, and the right to create something so ugly and sell it makes this an awesome county. Was the application inappropriate, and wrong yeah. This is America people. If you don’t agree think of it like this. Stop staying your shoot the Zombie games because they remind me of your great grandmothers. Your shooting your Great-grandmother and to me thats offensive.  Just as shaken Babies offend you.
