USB 3.0 On It’s Way…

So ASUS is going to release the P6X58 premium motherboard, which will feature two 3.0 USB ports. The USB 3.0 is know as a super speed port. The rumors flying around are that its going to be 5000Mb/s, which just about every one states this is a tad bit over optimistic. ASUS board will also support the Core i7 processor, and six DDR-3 slots, SATA 3.0 with capabilities of 6Gb/s, and 3 PCI-Express slots.
There are no pricing or release date, and no bench mark tests have been released. While it will take a while for the rest of the computer world to catch up with the 3.0, so just know when they do upgrade those Rocky USB drives to watch them do up thrusts faster and longer than you can.
As a side note Linux is the fist OS to get its drivers for 3.0 thanks to Sarah Sharp or known as the “Geekess” on the streets.Go Geekess.

If ASUS Had Their Way…

The company ASUS has come up with an invention so revolutionary, so new, so conceivable  that it’s been invented at least 50 times over and re-done more times than I can recount. However this is a pretty cool table with mutli-touch and sensors built -in. Unveiling their new table at Computex 2009 booth,  with the theme “Seamless Experience”. I must admit everything works pretty seamless. Items placed across the table can be placed near each other to interact, you can even put a piece of paper on the table with a word written on it and the table will pull it up.  The table would project out text messages from your cell phone, and tell what your drinking and what temperature it is. So whether this sounds familiar or your a noob and your first time enjoy the video. Like Criswell I’ll make a prediction. This isn’t the last we’ve seem of this type of furniture, and we’ll all be owning one in the next ten years.

Are you fully prepared to live in one company’s most likely inaccurate and yet still totally awesome vision of the future? If not, check out the video after the break. ASUS tossed together its ideas into a “Seamless Experience” showing at its Computex 2009 booth. Apparently the future involves a lot of interactive countertops — a sort of pervasive Surface-lite, which presents interactive, relevant info for objects placed on it. The tech also facilitates interaction between devices placed near each other, and can even capture data from a plain ol’ piece of paper and integrate it into the system. Sure, it’s been shown before, but we’re sure once enough companies come up with this idea independently they’ll be able to form two warring factions and fend off consumer adoption with a format war for years to come

Eee Keyboard is Freakin’ Awesome…

So Cool!

So Cool!

So the ASUS’ awesome Eee Keyboard has been spotted in China. The “keyboard” is almost a fully functional computer, with an 5-inch, 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen display/trackpad on the right side of the keyboard, is, as it turns out, running a standalone version of XP, and serves as the main display for the PC, with the external monitor functioning in a secondary capacity. Also has a music player built in. The word on the street is that it works extremely well and the keyboard will come in two styles wired, or wireless.

We are hoping for a release date for the end of June. When it will be shipped world wide, or the price is yet unknown.  Pretty sure this is the future of the keyboard and I’m willing to bet this is where Apple is going to follow suite.
