CERN Testing Complete…

News from CERN has surfaced. The Large Hadron Collider has gone through stress-testing by the CERN group and others. The object was to gauge its limits. CERN placed the Hadron Collider under tests called Scale Testing for the Experiment Program 2009 in which they loaded as much information through dedicated fiber optical networks to distribute data from CERN to 11 main computer centers in North America, Asia, and Europe. Once its received at these centers its re-disribute to 140 different centers in 33 countries. The LHC data is processes and managed and the most recent tests completed June 30th and lasted about 2 weeks.

The latest test was designed to break the LHC says Ian Bird, who was the the leader of the project. While the LHC is set up to handle 1.3 gigabyte a second. The test pushed the limits to 4 gigabytes per second, a limit in which the LHC would never reach. The LHC was never broken during testing. The data from the experiments running at CERN also included analysis from Atlas particle accelerator. These linked to the LHC and were processed according to the grid .

CERN is scheduled to restart in October, which halted the LHC from successfully completing its run last September. The problem was due to faulty welding which caused liquid nitrogen to seep into the chamber and was heated and expanded. Right now LHC is shut down, and no data is going through any of its systems. There may be more tests before the launch of LHC, however at this time there is non scheduled.

Personally I can not wait for this to get up and running. No the world will not suck its self into a black hole. Lets get that God atom outta there and sell it on ebay. I bet the Creationist Museum buys it and says its a trick of the devil.
