So you know that guy in that magician movie The Prestige with Christian Bale, you know the guy who make’s the duplicating machine for Hugh Jackman. You know. No? Well that’s David Bowie playing Nikola Telsa, and July 10th marks the 153rd birthday for Croatian born inventor, turned genius and greatest inventor of the 20th century. If your not familiar with him, I suggest doing some research to see his life’s ups and down, like how Thomas Edison used him and tried to bankrupt him by using Tesla’s AC generators to electrocute a prisoner and that’s just one example of their battles. Edison sucks and we have no love for him here

Some of his inventions were a telephone repeater, rotating magnetic field principle, polyphase alternating-current system, induction motor, alternating-current power transmission, Tesla coil transformer, wireless communication, radio, fluorescent lights, and more than 700 other patents just to name a few. Lets not forget the plasma gun, and Turbine Generator.

I will also divulge that I do have a Nikola Tesla tattoo. I am extremely proud of it but only a few will ever get to see. You have to know whom he is in order to see. Or get me drunk enough to drop my pants. Hey, It’s on my thigh and they wont let me where daisy dukes out in public anymore. The Japanese police are strict on pasty white thighs. However they are fine with vending machines that sell used schoolgirl underwear. I wonder if America is ready for my used underwear?

Nokia is taking a page from the history books. History books you may have not even heard of. The journals that’s were openly rummaged through by the US government. That’s right non-other than Nikola Tesla’s Journals. Nokia is in development of wireless energy. This device would take up the RF that is floating all around your head, and turn it into electrical current. They are trying to capture 50 milliwatts of power for “ambient charging”. This would be just enough energy to charge the battery while the phone is turned off. Granted that the phone has about 75% full battery and charge while your sleeping.

The bad news is they are only pulling off 3-5 milliwatts out of the air as of now but ts a start. There are of course alot of nay sayers in the industry at this point. Nokia says they hope to release the device in about 3 to 4 years. Also may have to supplement the lack of RF with solar power.  I’m hoping like Tesla that they will prove them wrong. Our world is full of energy, why not harness it and stop paying those power companies.  Which is what got Tesla in trouble to begin with.  Actually didn’t get him in trouble it bankrupted him, and left him the basically the worlds greatest inventor, penniless.
