So I’ve seen a lot of cool things coming out. What about those thing that you have laying in your garage that just don’t see the light of day anymore? We’ll Johan Van den Brande is back at it again. I’ve seen some stuff of his in the past however this is by far I believe to be his greatest accomplishment to date (I’m kidding). This is where the theme from Welcome Back Kotter should begin playing. Johan has made a Twitter client for the Commodore 64. Now as we all know the 64 was not internet ready out of the box. It wasn’t much out of the box as I recall. I never had one I’m more of an Atari kid myself but with his genius he has connected it and is now social networking. Now how could this have gotten a lot of you MLG’s a girlfriend back in the day?  We’ll first off girls liked you back then, and secondly Al Gore had already invented the internet. Trick question, don’t believe me, think of all your high school dates, and we all know Al Gore is no Cerf. We’ll Johan is helping us step up our social skills, we’ll for those of us who still might live in their grandmothers basement and have a running C64.  With his TV, C64, and C64 Ethernet card he has connected to Twitter with some programming to a 5.25″ floppy disk he’s done it. Sounds impossible. So it appears that Oprah is getting new users for Twitter. I twitter, and Oprah twitters. However I think its about as useful as a grandmother who watches soaps all day having a myspace page. When they figure out how to change their pictures on their Twitter profile, Twitter will be full of little pictures of fairies, and grandchildren. It will look like peter pan has taken over Twitter.  The Oprah effect which has effected everything may just do so for Twitter. She has made reading popular again with her book club, got votes for Obama, and made not dieting cool. Most of the people following her, just read her twitters but they will read others and start signing up for their own accounts. Ah hell, let the chaos begin. Why shouldn’t we let these valium popping baby boomers live a little. Its not enough they can barely get around a computer. Now they be twittering about how to twitter to each other. Perhaps Oprah should have started them off a little slower like Retro style, like with LiveJournal. Then a makeoutclub account, Friendster, then Myspace, Facebook, then Twitter. I could accept that evolution.  Straight from the lips of my iPhone.
